Stanfill Racing was established in the summer of 1965 by Greg Stanfill, a drag racer from
Brea, California. Greg had over 100 victories including National Records in AHRA and NHRA,
in a career that spanned nearly 35 years. One of his biggest wins came at the prestigious
Bakersfield March Meet in 1977. Consequently, the same year son, Bryan was born.
Bryan began his racing career in 1992 in Micro Sprints at dirt tracks in Central California.
Bryan raced Micro’s until 1994 when he moved to USAC TQ Midgets. Between 1994 and 1998,
Bryan picked up nearly 50 wins between the two classes. In 1998, he moved to the very
competitive USAC Midget Series. He would score two wins, the Rookie of the Year title and
finish 2nd in overall points. He was also 1999 Chili Bowl Rookie of the Year. In his 28 year
career, Bryan has 24 Midget Wins and 14 Sprint Car wins. As a Crew Chief, he has helped
secure 8 USAC Sprint Car and 4 USAC Midget victories. Bryan has raced Micro Sprints,
TQ Midgets, Midgets, Sprint Cars, Wing Sprint Cars, F2000’s, Formula Atlantics,
Late Model Stock Cars, ARCA Stock Cars, and got an Indy Car Test at Texas Motor Speedway.
In 2017, Bryan’s son Cruz began racing at age 5 in the USAC .25 Quarter Midget Series. To
date, Cruz has 6 Wins, and in 2018 finished 2nd place in the Indiana States Series and 1st in
the Mini Indy Friday Night Lights Series.
The 2019 season had Cruz racing full time in Quarter Midgets with 18 top 5's & 2 Podiums. Finished the season out 3rd in Jr Honda Points and 4th in Friday night Lights Points. Bryan had 12 starts driving the Tracy Hull USAC Midget out of Illinois. Bryan picked up 1 Win, 7 Podiums and 9 Top 5's on the year.
